Phuket is a paradise unlike anywhere you’ve seen before, and Panwaburi Beachfront Resort is the perfect place to enjoy it.

Let's kick things off with a bang, shall we? Picture this: you're lounging on a pristine beach, cocktail in hand, with the Andaman Sea stretching out before you like a sheet of turquoise silk. Welcome to Panwaburi Beachfront Resort, folks – Phuket's little slice of heaven.

But don't just take our word for it. According to recent TripAdvisor reviews, guests can't stop raving about the resort's impeccable service and stunning infinity pool [1]. Picture waking up to a view that looks like it's been plucked straight out of a postcard. The hotel's hilltop location offers breathtaking panoramas of Phang Nga Bay's limestone karsts – it's the kind of view that makes you want to become a morning person.

But it's not just about the views. The hotel's infinity pool is an Instagram dream come true, and the rooms? Let's just say they've mastered the art of rustic luxury. Think natural materials, modern amenities, and a design that'll make you want to redecorate your entire house when you get home.

3. Tribe Sky Beach Club, Bangkok: Party in the Clouds

Bangkok at Night
City Skyline

If you’re a fan of rooftop bars, the Tribe Sky Beach Club in Bangkok should be number one on your list. As the first sky beach club in the city, it offers a unique combination of a rooftop bar and beach club experience.

 Why It's a Must-Visit

Perched high above Bangkok's bustling streets, Tribe Sky Beach Club is where the city's cool kids come to play. With its rooftop pool, panoramic city views, and a vibe that screams "This is where the fun's at," it's no wonder this place has become a hot spot for locals and tourists alike.

Here's what you can expect:

- Killer cocktails: Their mixologists are basically liquid artists.

- DJ sets that'll keep you grooving: From sunset to sunrise, the beats don't stop.

- A pool that's more about posing than swimming: Let's be real, it's all about the 'gram.

But don't let the party atmosphere fool you – Tribe also knows how to do chill. Come for sunset, and you'll be treated to a light show courtesy of Mother Nature herself, with Bangkok's skyline as the backdrop. It's the perfect spot to kick off your night or wind down after a day of exploring the city.

Bangkok is in the Top 25 cities to discover in 2024 (TimeOut), and it’s no surprise why! People often praise the cuisine, culture, and most notably the hospitality of Thai people. You’ll never have to go a day without smiling in one of Asia’s most energetic cities.

5. Things to Know before you Go : The Inside Scoop

  1. Book in Advance!

Thailand’s best hotels and beach clubs are in high demand, especially during peak travel seasons. To secure a spot at top-rated venues like Yona Beach in Phuket, make sure to book your accommodations and reservations well in advantage.

This not only guarantees availability but also often allows you to snag early bird discounts and special offers. Who can say no to that!

2. Dress Code at Beach Clubs

While beachwear is perfectly fine for lounging by the sea, many upscale beach clubs have specific dress codes, especially for evening events. Packing a few stylish outfits ensures you won’t miss out on any exclusive events, but will also make you look 10x cooler in your photos.

Just be mindful that it’s still very humid, so a nice linen for the guys or a comfy sundress for the ladies should be perfect!

SHOP OUR BEACH CLUB FAVOURITE SWIM WEAR ESSENTIALS!

3. Currency and Payments

The Thai Baht (THB) is the local currency, and while major beach clubs and hotels accept credit and debit cards, it’s wise to carry some cash for tips and smaller places. ATMs are available in many tourist areas, but if you’re looking to venture further from the crowded spots, it’s better to keep some cash on you.

Also be mindful of high withdrawal fees at some ATMs - you’d be better off withdrawing cash in large amounts and stashing it away, as you’ll be saving money in the long-run.

- Cash is king: While many places accept cards, having some Thai Baht on hand is always a good idea.

- Bargaining is okay: In markets and some shops, but not in established stores or restaurants.

- Tipping: Not expected but appreciated. A small tip for good service goes a long way.

4. Health and Safety

Staying healthy is key to enjoying your trip to the fullest. Stick to bottled water, especially at beach clubs, and be cautious with ice unless you’re sure it’s made from purified water. When dining in hotels, opt for freshly prepared dishes, as most high-end hotels have strict hygiene standards, but it’s always good to double-check.

However, if you’re like us and can’t get enough of the street food (mmm Pad thai), then go where the locals go! They will be more accustomed to the spices and flavours, but as long as the cooking environment is safe enough, the food will be too. Street food is also often more authentic and it is made right in front of you, so the experience as a whole is fantastic.

5. Transportation

Many of Thailand’s premier beach clubs are located in scenic but somewhat remote areas. For instance, getting to Café del Mar in Phuket might require a bit of planing. Many top hotels offer shuttle services to popular beach clubs!

Alternatively, renting a scooter or using a reliable taxi service can be a great way to explore the local area. Uber is not very popular in Thailand, so use Grab Bikes to quickly get in and around the city. There will always be a driver nearby (unless you’re in the jungle), so don’t worry about not finding a way home.

- Tuk-tuks: A must-try experience, but agree on the price before hopping in.

- Grab: Southeast Asia's answer to Uber. Download the app for hassle-free rides.

- Island hopping: Ferries and speedboats are your best friends. Just check the schedules in advance.

6. Weather & Best Seasons to visit Thailand

Thailand's tropical climate means it's pretty much always hot and humid. But here's the kicker: the weather can vary depending on where you are and when you visit. Generally, you've got three seasons to work with:

1. Hot season (March to May): Imagine a sauna, but with better scenery.

2. Rainy season (June to October): Don't let the name fool you – it doesn't rain all day, every day.

3. Cool season (November to February): "Cool" is relative here, folks. It's still warm, just less sweat-inducing.

Pro tip:

The cool season is peak tourist time, so book early if you're eyeing those prime spots we've been drooling over.

7. Cultural Clues

Thailand's known as the Land of Smiles for a reason – the people are genuinely warm and welcoming. But a little cultural know-how goes a long way:

- Respect the royal family: It's not just good manners, it's the law.

- Dress modestly: Especially when visiting temples. Save those beach outfits for, well, the beach.

- Remove your shoes: When entering homes, temples, and some shops. When in doubt, look for a pile of shoes at the entrance.

8. Stay Connected

- WiFi: Widely available, but consider getting a local SIM card for those off-the-beaten-path adventures.

- Power adapters: Thailand uses 220V AC electricity. Power outlets are usually two-prong round or flat sockets.

9. Get Travel insurance and International Health Coverage

I would always recommend getting travel insurance as soon as you book your holiday. My favourite travel insurance is Safety Wing if you travel.

To ensure peace of mind while traveling or living abroad, we recommend getting health insurance. SafetyWing's Essential plan covers travel and medical emergencies with options for adventure sports and electronics theft. Their Complete plan offers comprehensive health coverage with routine healthcare, mental health support, and maternity, anywhere in the world, including in your home country, on top of all Essential benefits.

BEST HOTELS TO STAY

Resort Hotel poolside view and decks

Phuket:

A ridiculously beautiful wellness resort with a white-sand beach at your feet. Roll out of bed and lounge by the pool, or take a few long strides and find yourself floating in crystal-clear water.

Bangkok:

Not much sounds better than enjoying an authentic Thai breakfast on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. Straight after breakfast, a quick 20-minute shuttle service can take you to visit some of the main attractions in Bangkok, like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun Temple.

Phi Phi Island:

Yes, we know we’ve mentioned this place before, but it’s easy to see why we’re still talking about it! With amazingly decorated bamboo rooms, it’s difficult to not feel like you’re in paradise here.

Phang Nga:

Located on a lush hillside property, this resort will ensure you never want to leave. Unmissable sunsets, the gentle sounds of the sea in the evening, massages in the shade of the evergreen forest. Doesn’t that sound just perfect?
